We ground our reporting in verifiable sources and cite them inline where we have them, so readers can check the record, and we are adding sources to older articles as we review them. We do not report single-source claims as fact, and we do not publish unverified claims as fact.

Our articles are produced with AI-assisted research and drafting under human oversight. A human editor reviews flagged content before publication. We clearly disclose AI involvement on every page.

Independence

Our journalism is editorially independent. Advertisers do not influence our coverage, and any sponsored content is clearly labelled as such. The Daily Istanbul is part of The Daily Network under common ownership; our ownership and funding page sets out who operates the site and who is accountable.

Corrections

We fix errors promptly and note material corrections on the affected article so the record stays transparent.

What we do not publish
